Green University follows the
American credit hours system. Under this system, one credit
hour is equivalent to 15 hours of instruction and 30 hours
of homework for total of 45 hours. For sessional courses
one-credit is equivalent to 30 hours of instruction. In each
semester, the student usually takes anywhere from 12 to 18
hours or four – six courses. Each course is usually three
credit hours – three class hours a week for four months.

|
General Education Courses |
|
Introductory & common body knowledge courses to develop a
student into a graduate. |
|
Foundation Courses |
|
Courses that form foundation for being a graduate of a
specific discipline like engineering, business, science etc. |
|
Core Courses |
|
In each discipline a number of
courses will be identified as core courses, which form the
nucleus of the respective bachelor’s degree major program. A
student has to complete all of the required core courses for
his/her discipline. |
|
Optional Courses |
|
Apart from the core courses, students will have to complete
a number of optional courses. Students will have some choice
to select courses for specialization in a particular area
according to their interest. |
