of Bangladesh-the virtual gateway to GUB. On behalf of the
Governing Council of Green University, I would like to welcome
you to our Website and thank you for your interest in our
University. We hope this site answers questions you may have

The Governing Council’s purpose is to receive, hold, invest, manage, use,
dispose of and administer property of all kinds, whether given
absolutely or in trust to benefit the University in all
educational purposes and support activities that may be
conducted by the University. The Foundation has been designated
to be the official fundraising organization of the University.
Green University of Bangladesh
is a one of the outstanding center of excellence for
higher education in Bangladesh. It engages minds through
creative, rigorous and interdisciplinary approaches to teaching
and scholarship that encourage lifelong learning and prepare
graduates who will communicate effectively, think critically and
creatively, apply technology, act responsibly and effect
positive change. GUB is connected with the Local and Foreign
Educational Institutions to providing seamless educational
pathways for students seeking a baccalaureate education.
The mission of Green University is
to nurture and develop the talents and potentials of students
and to find out applicable knowledge in order to support social
and economic advancement. GUB is a student-centered
community that places high value on quality teaching and
learning in a setting that supports the needs and diversity of
its undergraduate and graduate student bodies.
The principal goal of GUB is to provide quality education at undergraduate
and post-graduate levels relevant to the needs of a dynamic
society. The courses and curricula are so designed as to prepare
the students with sound academic background so that they can
enter into the competitive professional job market or can
continue further higher academic studies at home and abroad. The
overall academic goal at the University is to equip its students
with the means to become skilled and productive resources of the
community, so that they can provide leadership in the country’s
private and public sector enterprises in an increasingly
