Well equipped
modern labs with state-of-the-art equipment:
- Fiber lab
has equipment for identifying fibers, characterizing fiber
properties such as length, fineness, moisture content, etc.
- Spinning
lab is equipped with miniature production equipment. It
has instruments for determining yarn properties such as
evenness, twist, strength, etc. Anew open-end spinning frame
has been added to familiarize students with modern machines.
- Weaving
and woven structure lab is equipped with CAD design
station and sample handlooms. Power looms are available for
demonstration. New installations of a winder, electronic dobby
double rapier loom and a jacquard weaving machine have been
undertaken.
- Finishing
lab is equipped with miniature production machines such as
jigger and padder. It hosts equipment for carrying out
preparatory and dyeing experiments. Computer color matching
system is available for use by the students.
- Testing
lab is equipped with instruments for evaluating all
important fabric properties. such as stiffness, drape,
snagging, burst, etc. The lab has modern universal testing
machines for determining yarn and fabric strength.

Chemistry laboratory is to
get familiarize first year students to the basics of qualitative
and quantitative analysis. Ideas derived from the practical

wet processing and dyestuff chemistry at an advance level.
